Fairly painless though a lot of little manual steps. Everything seemed to transfer over properly though and I learned a few things, which is always a Good Thing.

All the really important pages are up and running under our new site. I’ll continue to migrate the other ones, hopefully finishing tomorrow. Will also probably update to the new version of WordPress (the software running this site).

There’s been a few glitches but I’m about 25% of the way migrating my old site into this wordpress site. Maintenance is going to get a lot easier, which should mean more frequent updates and other goodies. Meanwhile, while you’re waiting for the update, might I urge you to go and subscribe to On Spec magazine? The last issue has my story “A Ragman’s Vow” in it. Read a review here.

Very much enjoying the audible version of Robert J. Sawyer’s novel Flash Forward. It is a very entertaining novel and I’m hoping to see it as a television series next year on ABC.

YourOtherMind 8.0 has been posted to the website. This new version’s primary feature addition is the StickIt page type which is a visual page that allows for notes, images and timelines to be manipulated on the screen. Attended Edmonton's gaming/writing convention for the first time this year. Was only able to make Saturday as I had another gaming event for Sunday… plus had to go into work for a bit. There were lots of interesting things going on, and it was neat to walk around and see the magazine displays, fan clubs, and artwork. The highlight probably was getting to listen to Robert Sawyer talk about his life, his career, and his thoughts on society.
