My Life

And there is this…

First, many apologies for the delay between posts. I am not yet ready to promise more regular postings but interesting things are afoot.

If you are even vaguely interested in game development you have probably already learned that I’ve joined Edmonton-based game developer Beamdog. I’ve been working for them for the past few months. I can not really speak towards what I’m currently doing but in general I’m hoping to provide direction and the benefit of my experiences to the talented crew at Beamdog — lessons learned from my years BioWare as well as my time freelancing.

Read the Beamdog announcement here: http://blog.beamdog.com/2016/02/beamdog-achievements.html

And for those interested in the writing side of my life, I am helping On Spec celebrate the release of their past couple issues at Variant Edition Comics tonight, at 7:00 pm!

Take care all and have a fantastic week.

Former lead designer at BioWare (Dragon Age: Origins, Neverwinter Nights). Creator of Raiders of the Serpent Sea.

Super rad you went back into game development. I hope what you guys are working on next involves a smart talking flouting skull…Berk.

I am absolutely thrilled to hear about this. Seriously so, so happy. Also to know now that David Gaider has also joined the team, it really is exciting! I can only hope you guys will get to make the type of games you wanted to but didn’t get to as things went in a new direction for the last franchise you worked on together, Dragon Age. That’s an entirely selfish statement, only because I want to PLAY those games (that are like Origins was), and not really the type of games that the Dragon Age sequels turned out to be after you left.

Anyway, even if what you are working on is something completely unrelated and even an unrelated style, I am just happy to see you guys are working on the same team making magic again! Can’t wait to see what you come up with, congratulations!
