A Thousand Faces #11
This was my contributors copy in which the reprint of my story “A Ragman’s Vow” appeared. Several strong stories of superheroes and villains fill the issue and it was a good read. If you are interested in examining the life of the superhero in more depth, it is worth checking out this magazine.

Many of the stories are also available to read for free on their website.

Across the Universe
This novel fell more in the ‘reading for research’ category as I was looking for something geared towards young adult but in the sci-fi genre. This was an okay read but I can’t say it overly hooked me (I’m assuming I’m nowhere near the target audience). And there were some science bits that still have me scratching my head. That said I think this novel could work well to pull readers into science fiction reading gently. It explores several concepts — genetic engineering, a generation ship — lightly and has protagonists that are approachable.
